ABOUT ME

Kylie Eastley is a Hobart based Consultant and Arts Manager who has more than 20 years experience working in media/communications, community development and the arts.

She began as a journalist in the 90’s before working in Sydney for Film World Research and returning to Tasmania to work extensively in community development and the arts. It is the combination of these three core sectors; communications, community development and the arts, that have seen her work on a number of innovative projects. These have included work with all levels of government on community safety, community development initiatives and social enterprise development.

Her involvement with the arts began in the 90’s, progressed to a senior role in award winning art company, Big hART, taking shows from Tasmania to the Sydney Opera House and major festivals, and led to a key position with Tasmanian Regional Arts as an Arts Development Officer and manager of a three year Social Enterprise initiative. Her work and observation of the arts, social enterprise, business and community sector in Tasmania, led to her own consultancy business, specialising in tailored services to support the development of individual artists, arts organisations, communities, government and business.

She is passionate about working with creative thinkers; working with individuals, communities and organisations to make ideas happen and is committed to finding new approaches and models that better support individuals, communities and government.
